A letter from Don Blas de Lezo, the Spanish Amiral at
Carthagena, to Don Thomas Geraldino, late agent for the King
of Spain in London. Put into verse by a gintleman at
Jamaica, and just arrived from thence.
To thee my friend, tho' now perhaps disgrac'd,
For ill-judg'd conduct, or for bribes misplac'd,
To thee I write the anguish of my heart,
And, undisguis'd, my soul-felt griefs impart.
